Alex’s 2026 London Marathon!
Hi, I’m Alex.
This year I have been given the honour of running the TCS London Marathon on 26th April 2026 in support of Asthma + Lung UK. This will be the second marathon I have ran, and at this point, your guess is as good as mine for why I keep punishing myself in this way. It’s honestly not even like the first one was enjoyable!
…this is the last one I am doing though!
Last time out we managed to raise around £1,500 for St. Giles in support of me running the Yorkshire Marathon in 2023. This time though, the bar has gone up…I’ve gone and pledged £2,500 for the privilege of running this once-in-a-lifetime event (genius). I know this a huge target but that’s why I’m upping my game too to make it worthwhile.
I’ve had an idea that if any local businesses want to sponsor me, please contact me and we could try to get your company logo to be on my training shirts. Believe me, I’m not a fast runner so those Saturday long runs will get plenty of exposure (up to 4 hours) in Burton and surrounding areas!
Other than that, as usual, any donations big and small are really appreciated, every single pound donated really does add up to hitting that huge goal.
This charity is one very close to my heart, with numerous family members and close friends being impacted to varying extents by asthma, COPD etc. Asthma + Lung UK are leading the fight for everyone to breathe freely and are one of the leading charities to fund groundbreaking studies transforming how lung conditions are prevented, diagnosed and treated.
I’ve put a QR code below to donate to my Asthma + Lung UK page. Alternatively, there is a table on the next page if people would like to make physical donations (cash etc.).
Thank you to my Sponsors
