London Marathon 2026

I’m running the 2026 London Marathon to fight for lung health!

A miracle happened - I received a ballot place for the 2026 London Marathon!

This will be my 4th time running London having been kindly accepted by Asthma and Lung UK to run as part of their team for the last 3 years, raising over £7,000!

A ballot place for 2026 provides a slightly different scenario but I am still very dedicated to raising funds for 'Asthma and Lung UK' so any amount at all that you can donate would be so gratefully received.

As someone who suffers with asthma and has to manage shallow breathing when running it's hard to imagine how tough it is for those who suffer with this awful condition in a more serious way than myself.

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition.

On 26th April 2026 I will hopefully make amends for 2025 when things took a turn in the last 500 metres - a year older, a year wiser? We’ll see.

Thank you for your time - 500+ miles of training on the horizon in 2026 ahead of the big day!

My Updates

Race week is here - 😱

Monday 20th Apr
Tapering now - less running, more carbs. Last long run yesterday included a dog incident, knee will hopefully recover as it did pinch a little. More needles in glutes and achilles on Wednesday to help this ruined body. Nearly 500 miles run this year so prep has all been done, just gotta finish now. Race day kit in image. Number 46499 starting at 10am from Blue start (same one the elites start from at 9.35). Tracking app ‘2026 London Marathon app’. Thank you for all your support.

Berlin Half 🇩🇪 - 4 weeks to go

Sunday 29th Mar
Cheeky trip to Germany not really knowing where I’m at for pace and smashed a PB 1.33.42. Massive confidence boost with 4 weeks to go. A 21/22 mile run next weekend and then it’s taper time. Need the recovery! Over 600km now for the year. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 we get there in 4 weeks 🙏🏻

Exeter Half - 8th Feb

Sunday 15th Feb
End of week 5 (8 Feb) - ran the ECCT Exeter Half on the quay as a test to where training is. Not full pace but a progresssion run starting at target marathon pace with splits getting faster throughout. A bit of a way to go but 1h 41mins not too bad so on track 🤞🏻

Week 3 ✅

Sunday 25th Jan
Small set back earlier in January but week 3 done and back on track 🤞🏻.

Week 3 - 32 miles completed with long run of 17km despite Storm Ingrid doing her best to disrupt! 37 miles next week on the plan.

Just 2 weeks until Exeter Half Marathon which will be first test about how training is going. Long way off at the moment but have to ‘trust the plan’.

I saw your brief - but know the effort and focus that goes into this. A £1 mile is never enough given the training done but every little counts
