London Marathon 2026

I’m running the London Marathon 2026 in honour of my Mum to fight for lung health.

As many of you will already know, I sadly lost my beautiful Mum in April 2025 to Pulmonary Fibrosis. 

Mum faced this debilitating condition with such grace and courage, despite needing 24/7 Oxygen and help with day to day tasks. 

London Marathon 2026 falls on 26th April - EXACTLY a year to the day from her passing, and therefore a poignant way to honour her memory. 

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Words will never convey my thanks to all who donated to this incredible cause. I spent some time with the charity on Sunday and it was so lovely to put faces to names and get a feel for how the money raised in Mum's honour will be used.

It was an incredible weekend for many reasons, including how poignant Sunday felt with it being 1 year since we lost her. 

The marathon itself was hard in the heat, but made to feel such a privilege by the atmosphere created by the spectators. The best parts of humanity are all shown on marathon day.

In 90 days we’ll be in London preparing to take on the biggest physical challenge of my life. Another long run in the bag today begins the start of a heavier block where the distances really ramp up. My IT band injury is behaving itself (pleeeaaase…🤞🏼) and I’m looking forward to the nights getting a bit lighter so those midweek sessions become a little more interesting.

Onwards and upwards.

24 Weeks out - Coopah Training Plan Begins

Thursday 13th Nov
So far this year (and since I began running) I've purely ran on feel, going out when I want to, or entering events when I like the look of the medal (Tatton 10k on Saturday).

 I've ran 58 times covering 372km YTD. 

However, now I'm 24 weeks out from the big one I have started my Coopah training plan and for the first time will have some structure to my sessions. I'm looking forward to locking in for this winter arc and coming out the other end a different animal.
