I’m running the London Marathon 2026 to fight for lung health!
Ops, I will do it again! Third marathon - I have to beat this 4h mark – and third time to help fighting lung conditions.
As a lot of you know from previous marathons, I suffered from asthma during childhood and one attack almost ended fatal. But I survived and thankfully, I grew out of asthma but knowing from doctor’s diagnosis at the time, it can return with age. And we all know, this age business is a one way road! I feel blessed that I am in an healthy position where I am able to train for marathon and also to raise funds to give back.
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice.
My employer, bp, will match every donation up to $5,000 (ca £3,750) - so it's a double whammy!
Once again, to make this more attractive, any donor will enter my personal ballot for a dinner (four people in total), don’t miss out and a HUGE thank you for your support.
Single minded mode is about to be turned on. London Marathon 2026 – here I come!
