I’m running the London Marathon 2026 to fight for lung health!
Supporting Asthma + Lung UK: My Journey
Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. This cause means a lot to me because my journey with asthma has been anything but easy. For years, asthma controlled so much of my life. I was in and out of hospital several times a year, and missed out on many experiences.
Throughout that difficult time, Asthma + Lung UK helped massively. They listened when I needed someone to understand what I was going through. They offered support that felt personal, compassionate, and grounded in real expertise. Their advice helped me navigate a complicated system, and with their guidance, I was eventually approved for biologic injections—something that has made a huge difference to my life. Since starting treatment, I’ve managed to regain a big part of life, and avoid several hospital admissions.
I’m fundraising today because I want others to have access to the same support, advice, and understanding that made such a massive difference for me. Asthma + Lung UK is a lifeline for so many people, providing resources, advocacy, and hope when it’s needed most.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world—not just to me, but to everyone who relies on this amazing charity. Thank you for reading, and thank you for your support.
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!
My Updates
Cambridge Half
Sunday 8th Mar I managed to complete Cambridge half today, after having to defer my place last year due to being in hospital with my asthma. The support of asthma and lung uk helped me receive biologics which have helped me get back to a level of fitness I haven’t managed to achieve since becoming unwell! All donations to asthma and lung uk are greatly appreciated! ShareThank you to my Sponsors

Super proud of you Emily. I have had a supportive phone call with Asthma and Lung UK and it helped me to get the support I needed from my asthma nurse that has kept me from steroids for almost a year now. This donation will fund 2 more phone calls like the ones we've both received. Lots of love. K
