Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!

London Marathon 2026

In April I am taking part in London’s marathon. I have chosen to raise money for Asthma Uk.

My mum had asthma for most of her life. It was something she managed daily. In 2020, she contracted COVID-19 and sadly passed away. Asthma wasn’t the sole story of her life, but it was part of her health background, and it’s one of the reasons I’ve chosen to support an asthma-focused charity.

Asthma affects millions of people in the UK and worldwide. For some, it’s mild and well controlled. For others, it can be severe, unpredictable, and life-limiting. Research, education, and access to proper treatment make a real difference, not only in improving quality of life but also in reducing hospital admissions and preventable deaths. That’s where charities in this space play a critical role.

The money raised through this run will go towards work that helps people understand their condition better, supports research into improved treatments, and provides resources for families who need guidance navigating asthma care. These outcomes aren’t abstract; they have a direct impact on real people.
