I’m running the London Marathon 2026 to fight for lung health!

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £24 can support a researcher at the start of their career to carry out an hour of lung health research to ensure we attract and keep the best scientific minds to focus on lung disease.

London Marathon 2026

I'm running the London Marathon 2026 in memory of my amazing Grandma.
In April 2024 our family lost an amazing wife, mother, grandma, sister, auntie and friend Ann Grundy. 

She lived with asthma, COPD and other underlying health issues. She battled these with strength, dignity and determination . I am running the London Marathon for Asthma + Lung UK in honour of her memory.  I am not a runner, this will be a huge challenge inspired by, and as a loving tribute to, her. I hope to raise awareness of the issues faced by those with lung conditions, and to help this amazing organisation to make a real difference.

If you can support me in any way it would be much appreciated. Training from being a complete novice isn’t easy but if I can channel a little of my Grandma’s strength I know I will do it.

Thank you, for any support. I hope the thought of me running makes a few of you  who know me well smile! In loving memory of the incomparable Ann Grundy 16 April 1941-28 April 2024, who I know will be cheering me on.
