I’m running the London Marathon 2026 !
A few years ago, my dad was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, a serious condition in which the lungs become scarred, making breathing increasingly difficult over time. While some treatments can slow the progression of the disease, there is currently no cure and no way to reverse the scarring once it occurs.
Each year, an estimated 15,000–20,000 people are diagnosed with lung scarring in the UK. Despite pulmonary fibrosis being as deadly as some cancers, many people face long delays in diagnosis, treatment, and support. As the disease progresses, it affects every aspect of daily life and cuts short people’s lives.
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. To show support for my dad and for everyone living with lung disease, I’m running the London Marathon for Asthma + Lung UK.
