London Marathon 2026

I’m running the London Marathon 2026 to fight for lung health!

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!

Did someone say London Marathon 2026?

That’s right, I am running the London Marathon to raise money for Asthma and Lung UK and in memory of my Dad, Chris.

As most of you know, my Dad suffered from a lung condition called bronchiectasis. He battled with this condition throughout his life, being on oxygen permanently prevented him being able to do many things that he loved to do. Despite this, he was a very positive man and he made sure that he would get to the Crystal Palace game!

As well as raising money for Asthma and Lung UK, I am hoping to raise awareness of the work they do with supporting research into lung conditions and supporting not only people affected by lung and respiratory problems but also their friends and family. The research they carry out highlights the need for early diagnosis to help improve outcomes so that people affected by this can lead a longer life. They also support research into finding new treatments for lung disease.

Currently 1 in 5 people will have a lung condition in their lifetime.  Asthma and Lung UK campaign for better lung health, for early diagnosis and better care. In 2024, 20,000 people received support from their helpline and £3.5 Million was invested into vital research.

Also in 2024, following years of research, with support from Asthma and Lung UK, a potential treatment has been found for bronchiectasis, with a drug for this condition possibly becoming available in 2026.

I would really appreciate any support or donations for this worthy charity. It will not only motivate me during the 26.2 miles, but will also make a difference to so many people living with lung and respiratory conditions

This one is for you Dad!
