London Marathon 2026

I’m running the London Marathon 2026 to fight for lung health!

Lung conditions have affected some of the closest people in my life and every minute someone new is diagnosed with a new lung condition in the UK.

I am doing the longest run of my life for 3 people who have experienced the debilitating and frightening plight of damaged lungs.

I run in tribute to my Dad. He suffered his whole life with Asthma and breathing difficulties. Cornwall’s hospitals and doctors surgeries did an impressive job of caring for him on so many occasions and he finally lost his fight in May 2023. He would have said I am mad to do this, but in private he'd be proud as punch.

It’s also in hope for my Mum, diagnosed in 2023 with terminal Lung Cancer and yet now, incredibly she is disease free.  Thanks go to the staff at Treslike Hospital in Truro, who also looked after Dad on many occasions for this amazing recovery.

And last and by no means least my wonderful friend Sarah. She has battled with rare and terminal lung conditions over the last 13 years, having to retire from work, use oxygen whenever she walked and get around with a mobility scooter and stair lifts during her 30’s and early 40’s. Last month she received a double lung transplant. She is forever my inspiration.

It’s for Mum, Dad and Sarah that I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!
