London Landmarks 2026

I’m running the LLHM 2026 in memory of my sister and dad

This year, I will be lacing up my running shoes and joining thousands of others on the streets of London for the half marathon. But for me, this run is more than just a race. It is a tribute. A way to honour two of the most important people in my life: my dear sister, who we lost far too soon at just 16 to asthma, and my late dad, who bravely fought asthma and COPD for so many years.
Running has always been a challenge for me. But compared to what my sister and my dad went through, every mile will feel like a privilege. Every step is a reminder that I still have breath in my lungs—something they were cruelly robbed of. Losing her at such a young age to an asthma attack changed my life forever. It taught me that the simplest things—like breathing—are never to be taken for granted.
Years later, I watched my dad battle chronic illness with quiet determination. COPD slowly took away his independence, but never his spirit. Even on the hardest days, he showed me what resilience really looks like.
When I cross the finish line in London, exhausted and emotional, I know they’d be proud. Proud that their memory is driving me to raise awareness, to fund research, and to remind others that asthma and COPD are serious conditions that need more attention and understanding.

Breathe easy, run strong, love always.

Day 1 : Why i am running the LLHM

Wednesday 2nd Jul
Today marks the start of my journey to the London Landmarks Half Marathon—and I wanted to share why this challenge means so much to me.
I’m running in memory of two of the most important people in my life:
❤️ My sister, who we lost far too young at just 16 because of asthma.
❤️ My dad, who battled asthma and COPD with incredible strength until the very end.
Breathing—something so many of us take for granted—was a daily struggle for them both. Their experiences have shaped who I am and inspired me to do something positive in their memory.
This isn’t just about crossing a finish line. It’s about raising awareness of how serious asthma and COPD really are, and helping to fund research and support for families going through the same pain we did.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. ❤️
