London Marathon 2026

I’m running the London Marathon 2026 to fight for lung health!

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £24 can support a researcher at the start of their career to carry out an hour of lung health research to ensure we attract and keep the best scientific minds to focus on lung disease.

Training for a marathon as a plus-size runner is not for the weak. It’s not just miles — it’s time on feet. It’s early alarms, tired legs, sports bras that mean business, and shoes that have seen some things. It’s choosing to show up for yourself over and over again. Today wasn’t my best run. It wasn’t fast. It wasn’t pretty. It wasn’t one of those “runner’s high” highlight-reel days. It was heavy legs. It was mental battles. It was counting down intervals and negotiating with myself more than once. But here’s the thing: I got the distance done. And sometimes that’s the real win. As a plus-size runner, there’s an extra layer to this journey. We don’t always see bodies like ours in marathon training plans or on race posters. There’s this quiet (and sometimes loud) narrative about what a “runner” is supposed to look like. But a runner is someone who runs. Period. It takes strength to carry your body for miles. It takes resilience to keep going when it would be easier to stop. It takes courage to train in public, to take up space on the course, to chase a goal that scares you. Marathon training is teaching me that not every run will feel good — but every run builds something. Endurance. Grit. Confidence. Proof. Today wasn’t perfect. But it was consistent. And consistency is what gets you to 26.2. Here’s to the runners doing it in bigger bodies. Here’s to the miles that feel hard. Here’s to showing up anyway. We are marathoners in the making. 💪🏽🏃🏽‍♀️ @TCS London Marathon

Why am I running?

First time back after 2 months 😮‍💨 (I was getting married and on honeymoon)! Getting back into the swing of things! Happy Spooky season 👻 🎃 and Happy Team Breathe Giving Day! 🥰 I’ve spread the love with a few donations this morning, if anyone wants to return the favour you’re most welcome!! ❤️🥰 keep smashing it everyone!!!! Thank you so much to the donations so far! So incredibly kind! It’s a shame I have to Photoshop these two gentlemen into my wedding picture, but this is who I’m running the marathon for. I lost both of my grandfathers to a rare lung cancer caused by asbestos exposure, and their memory keeps me going every step of the way!! 🏃‍♀️ ❤️

Wow. How did I get here?

✨ London Marathon 2026 – Here We Go! ✨

This is likely be one of many updates over the next nine months, because… I’ve secured a charity place in the London Marathon 2026! 🏃‍♀️💙 I’ll be running for a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart – Asthma + Lung UK.

This charity means a lot to me and my family. We sadly lost both of our grandads to lung-related cancers, and running in their memory feels like the most meaningful way I can honour them. I want to do this for them – to carry their memory every step of the 26.2 miles.

Earlier this year, my incredible sister ran the marathon for the same charity, and watching her cross that finish line was beyond inspiring. Now, it’s my turn to follow in her footsteps (quite literally!) and take on this challenge with everything I’ve got.

There’s a lot of training ahead, and a lot of fundraising to do – but I’m committed to putting in the work and crossing that finish line with pride. This journey is for my grandads, and for everyone affected by lung conditions or asthma.

If you’d like to support, cheer me on, or follow along – I’ll be sharing updates, sweaty selfies, training highs and lows, and fundraising milestones along the way.

Here’s to the next nine months – let’s do this! 💪💜
