Running With Love (and Sore Legs)
In 2022, my beautiful cousin Courtney was diagnosed with two incredibly rare and life-threatening lung conditions – Pulmonary Artery Hypertension (PAH) and Pulmonary Veno-occlusive Disease (PVOD). In June 2023, she had a double lung transplant and was full of hope, excited to finally get back to doing all the things she loved.
But after a long and incredibly tough four months in critical care, Courtney sadly passed away on 6th October 2023, at just 22 years old.
Running the London Marathon has been on my bucket list forever – and I get to do it with my dad, which makes it even more special. But now, I’m running for something even bigger. I’m running for Courtney – to celebrate her life, share her story, and raise money to help others going through similar battles.
I’m supporting Asthma + Lung UK, a charity that means a lot to me. With more research and support, we can help give others the future Courtney was so ready for.
I’ll be thinking of her with every mile (and let’s be honest, probably crying and laughing at the same time). If you can donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean the world.
Let’s do this for Courtney 💜
