I’m running the London Marathon 2026 to fight for lung health!
Hello everyone. This is a first for me, but this year I’ve decided to run the London Marathon. I’ve never done anything like this before, and yes, it’s 26.2 miles that I’ve decided to run voluntarily. Whether this is bravery or poor judgment remains to be seen. I’m running for Asthma and Lung UK, a cause that is close to my heart. Asthma and lung conditions aren’t the most fashionable causes to support, and don’t always come with big headlines or dramatic stories, but they affect millions of people every single day. Breathing is one of those things you don’t think about… until you can’t do it properly.
Asthma and lung conditions don’t discriminate; they affect children, adults, athletes, non-athletes, and people who just want to walk up the stairs without wheezing. Asthma and Lung UK fund vital research, support people living with lung conditions, and campaign so that breathing gets the attention it deserves.
If you are able to donate, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every contribution really does make a difference. Anything you can donate would be hugely appreciated, and I promise to think of every single one of you when I’m questioning my life choices.
Thank you for helping me (somehow) breathe my way to the finish line.
Leo
