I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to fight for lung health!
Hello,
So, I have been lucky enough to gain a place for the London Marathon 2025! Mental! Considering how many have applied for this event. I don't know if I'm mental or not as I have never done anything like this before in my life. So it's a challenge 🙂 And I love a challenge. This is going to test me 😬
So I'm running for Astma +Lung UK. Little bit of background as to why I'm running for this charity.
Our son Ajay (moose) is 8 years old and from birth has always had issues with reoccurring lung and respatory infections due to another health conditions called ARSA for short. This puts pressure on Ajays airway and esophagus making them narrow causing him to not release all the carbon dioxide from his lungs. This can cause scaring on Ajays lungs due to getting constant infections. Breathing for Ajay can be like breathing threw a straw on a daily bases. Ajay needs regular antibiotics and regular chest physio when unwell to treat infection. But this doesn't stop Ajay from doing the things he loves in life 💙
Ajay lives his little life to the full even though when he's unwell he still keeps going. So if he can keep going when unwell I can do a Marathon! So this is for him 💙
Any donations are greatly appreciated no matter how small my target for this event is £2,000 I know its alot but hopefully I can achieve this.
Ajay and his sisters were delighted when I told them I'm doing this for him. So much so Ajay wants to take part in the running 🙂 so he's going to come out running with me to keep me company for the small runs 🙂 So il regularly do updates 💙
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2025 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!
