I’m Running the London Marathon 2026 in Memory of My Wonderful Dad 💙
Monday 30th JunIn March this year I lost my incredible dad to Pulmonary Fibrosis, a rare and cruel lung condition he battled quietly for almost five years. Pulmonary Fibrosis causes irreversible scarring to the lungs, making it harder to breathe over time. There’s currently no cure and both awareness and funding for research remain low.
My dad was the bravest, kindest, most selfless man I’ve ever known. He was a devoted dad to me and my sisters Kennedy and Charlotte and a proud grandad to two beautiful boys, Joey and George. We had so many exciting plans and It breaks my heart knowing he won’t be here for the moments we looked forward to and the memories we were meant to make.
In the last few weeks i spent with dad i made some promises to him, one of them being I would run a marathon to raise awareness and money for Pulmonary Fibrosis. So in April 2026, I’ll be running the London Marathon for Asthma + Lung UK, a charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every minute in the UK someone is diagnosed with a lung condition. I’m aiming to raise and hopefully exceed £2,500 to help fund research and support services for people living with lung conditions.
