Running for Every Breath: Mia’s London Marathon 2026 Journey Supporting Cystic Fibrosis Research with Asthma + Lung UK
Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page. Before you go, please consider making a donation—no matter how big or small. Every penny will help Asthma + Lung UK continue their vital work supporting people with lung conditions and funding life-changing research.
My Why
This run is deeply personal. When I was young, my uncle passed away at just 24 years old from cystic fibrosis—a cruel and relentless lung condition. He was full of life, laughter, and dreams for the future, but those dreams were stolen far too soon.
Losing him left a lasting mark on my family. I grew up hearing stories about his strength, his humour, and the daily battles he faced just to breathe. For me, running this marathon isn’t just a challenge—it’s a tribute to his courage and to every person and family who knows what it’s like to lose someone to a lung disease.
Each mile I run is for him. For the breath he didn’t get to take. For the life he didn’t get to finish. And for the hope that, one day, no other family will have to go through the same pain.
Join Me in His Memory
Lung health is often invisible, but its impact isn’t. I’m running this marathon to honour my uncle’s memory, and to help Asthma + Lung UK give others the chance to breathe freely.
Whether you give a little or a lot, your donation will mean the world—to me, to families like mine, and to everyone still fighting for every breath.
Thank you for reading my story and standing beside me in this cause.
