I’m running the London Marathon 2026 to fight for lung health!

Anyone that knows me will know this is going to be an HUGE challenge for me. At the start of the year I couldn’t even run for a minute without stopping, I’ve worked really hard and can now run for over an hour, I just need to keep it up!

You might also know that I was diagnosed with asthma as a baby, I had several A&E trips, nebulisers and courses of steroids as a teenager, but thankfully my asthma is very well controlled as an adult, this is largely due to the advances in asthma care.

I’ll be updating my training progress on this page. If you are able to sponsor me, I would appreciate every single penny!

Asthma + Lung UK help fund vital research as well as offering help and support to those living with a lung condition.

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!

18 mile training run!

Thursday 26th Feb
Last weekend I ran 18 miles! I’m almost starting to believe that I will be able to do the full 26!!

16 miles!

Thursday 5th Feb
Slowly but surely increasing my distance. January 24th - longest run so far - 16 miles! It was tough but I got it done!

10k PB at Stubbington

Thursday 5th Feb
I’ve lived in Stubbington for 8 years and seen this race happen every January. I never thought I would run it. This year on 11th January I got a PB, 67 mins! One day I’d love to go under 60 mins!

Gosport Half!

Thursday 5th Feb
I did it! I ran an official half marathon. I didn’t get under 2 and half hours but finished in 2 hrs 37 mins which I’m so proud of for a first time 😊

Almost Half Marathon Time!

Friday 24th Oct
I have been slowly increasing my mileage and a couple of weeks ago I ran my first half marathon distance! I’m hoping to run the Gosport Half in November so this was a huge achievement for me! I would LOVE to manage a time of under 2.5hrs but that might be a little ambitious, I will do my best on the day!

First Ever Race!

Sunday 28th Sep
Today I completed my first ever race, the Marwell Zoo 10k. It was a tricky course with lots of hills but I still managed a PB which I’m so chuffed with! Crossed the line in 1hr 8mins 51 seconds, I’m not about to break any speed records but I’m really happy with how my running is improving 😁

Wednesday 13th Aug
Slowly upping the distance every week. I’m finding the distance fine but keeping to a decent pace for a long distance is tough! I’m trying not to focus on pace too much as, for me, it takes the enjoyment out of it. It’s too easy to compare myself to experienced runners on social media and think that I am failing when I am still right at the start of my running ‘journey’. The pace will hopefully come in time but for now, increasing the kilometres each week is the plan!


First ever 10k done! ✅

Wednesday 23rd Jul
Today I managed to run my first ever 10k. It took me 1hr 19min 38sec so I’m far from fast but I managed it! It was really hard, and does make me question how I will manage 42k next April but I’m trusting the process! 3 months ago I could barely run 1k, and today I did 10 so that’s definitely progress! :-) x
