In Memory Of Christine Freely
In April 2026, I’ll be running the London Marathon for Asthma + Lung, in memory of my grandma, Christine.
Christine lived with COPD for the final few years of her life, and if you knew her, you’ll know she never let the illness stop her getting on with life. She was a strong woman, funny, and brutally honest, the kind of person who told it exactly how it was, whether you asked or not, and somehow always made you laugh while doing it.
Running feels like a great way to honour her. She loved seeing people push themselves, and she would 100% be telling me, “come on Malone, you can do this,”
I’m raising money for Asthma + Lung UK to support the amazing work they do for people living with lung conditions.
