In Memory Of Christine Freeley
On the 26th April 2026 I will be running London Marathon in memory of my grandma, Christine Freeley, who passed away from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Christine was a constant source of support, the loudest cheerleader, and the backbone of our family. Fierce, resilient, and completely unapologetic. She had a no-nonsense attitude and passed that on to all of us, teaching us to be strong and face life head on. Beneath that tough exterior was an endless amount of love and loyalty to the people she cared about most.
Watching her live with COPD was hard, but true to form, she faced it in her own way with grit, stubborn determination, and the same strength she showed throughout her life.
I’m running this marathon to honour her memory and to raise vital funds for lung disease research and support, so others affected by COPD can get the help they need.
Every mile will be for her.
