Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £24 can support a researcher at the start of their career to carry out an hour of lung health research to ensure we attract and keep the best scientific minds to focus on lung disease.

Neil’s London Marathon 2026 – Running for Anish

Hi, my name is Neil.
In 2026 I’ll be running the London Marathon in memory of my friend Anish. Anish wasn’t just a friend to me, he was like a brother. We grew up together, spent countless hours side by side, and shared a bond that will stay with me forever.
Losing Anish to an asthma attack was sudden, shocking, and something none of us ever imagined would happen. It left a huge hole in my life and in the lives of everyone who loved him.
I’m running this marathon to honour Anish and to raise money for Asthma + Lung UK, a charity that supports people living with asthma and lung conditions and works to prevent families from experiencing the kind of loss we have.
This run means everything to me. It’s my way of remembering Anish, keeping his name alive, and turning something heartbreaking into something positive. Every mile I run will be for him.
