Life begins at 40 (so I’m told)
I’ve decided to embrace my 40s by taking on my biggest series of challenges yet, starting with the iconic London marathon! By now you all know I’m a plodder runner, no speed in these legs but plenty of endurance and grit to make it over long distance - ideally with snacks on the way round! So following London, I shall be taking on The Lap two weeks later - a causal 47 miles around Lake Windermere with some of my tread tribe friends, then eight weeks after that, I’ll be giving my best shot to making it all 100 miles from Bamburgh to Edinburgh!
I’m running these events to raise money for Asthma and Lung UK. Respiratory disease is common, and has affected members of my family, particularly in the past year.
All donations, from pennies to pounds, would be very gratefully received and make a difference. Thank you for your support!
My Updates
Embracing 40!
Tuesday 19th Aug This year brings me my biggest challenges - I’m working back to fitness after a quad strain sidelined me, ideal prep for the GNR and Berlin marathon of course. Despite this, I remain grateful for the chance to move my body, even at a slower pace (I know, hard to believe I can get slower but there we are)! More strength sessions will be a feature of the break in training blocks post Berlin! ShareThank you to my Sponsors
