I’m running the London Marathon 2026 to fight for lung health!
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £24 can support a researcher at the start of their career to carry out an hour of lung health research to ensure we attract and keep the best scientific minds to focus on lung disease.
My Updates
One Month To Go!!! 🏃🏻♀️✨🩷🧡💜
Thursday 26th MarHello! I’m Sophia.
For the past nine months I’ve picked up long distance running again because THIS year (2026)- I’m FINALLY running the London Marathon (yipeeee!!!)
I’m SO excited to bring all of you on this journey with me - so I thought I’d FINALLY do my first blog post after doing a nice lil 5km interval run ( I say little - but know that running any distance even 5km is A LOT and you should be proud of yourself for getting to move your body ❤️) in celebration of the big day itself being only a month away!!
It was tough today for me at first, I won’t lie, but I just encouraged myself to keep going - and once I got through that first half ( and took a puff of my inhaler 💨) it went by so much smoother. A lot of the time as well as physical, it’s also a mental challenge when it comes to running as well, but if I can do it ? SO CAN YOU! Don’t EVER let anyone tell you you can’t put your mind to achieving your dreams especially ourselves - it’s hard not to be our own worst critics when you’ve had so many other people put you down.
Back to the matter on hand though before I go off on another tangent, I genuinely can’t believe that I’m finally getting to do this in all seriousness , I’ll be kicking things off officially from now by documenting EVERYTHING until race day - but I need you all there with me, because I can’t do it without your support 🩷
Asthma + Lung UK are an incredible charity. They believe everyone should have the right to breathe easy, no matter their income, age, ethnicity, gender, or general background. But right now, too many people don’t. One in five people in the UK will develop a lung condition in their lifetime. Many are left scared, isolated, and struggling just to breathe—including my dad.
I know most of us can’t afford to donate at the moment (me included especially with everything else going on in the world, British Iranian and trying to get their footing in the arts I say no more 😅), so even sharing would be such a massive help 🧡
Together, we can help Asthma + Lung UK fight for cleaner air, better care- and a future where everyone has the right to breathe easy 💜
Every mile I run is not just for in memory of my Dad, but for those who it’s not too late for to help still- including myself 🩷
