I’m running the London Marathon 2026 to fight for lung health!
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!

Susumu Nagawa, My London Marathon for Every Breath
Friday 11th Jul Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with asthma - something I never imagined would happen to me as an adult. The timing was especially hard because it was just before the Tokyo Marathon, which I finally got into after 15 years of trying. I was told to stop training, but I couldn't give up. With medication, I managed to run, but I couldn't perform as I'd hoped.Running Tokyo with asthma made me realise just how tough everyday life must be for people living with chronic lung conditions. I knew I wanted to do more.
In April, I volunteered at the 12-mile water station at the London Marathon. Seeing all the runners inspired me so much - I promised myself: Next time, I won't just cheer, I'll run too. Now, that wish has come true!
My Doctors told me asthma won't simply go away - but I'm determined to fight it, mile by mile, step by step. Running for Asthma + Lung UK means I can help others breathe easier too.
I know raising £2,500 won't be easy. Every donation, no matter how small, will help people like me keep moving forward.
Please join me on this journey - together, we can make every breath count. Thank you so much for your support!
