I’m running the London Marathon 2026 to fight for lung health!
I’m running the London Marathon this year in memory of the incredible people in my life who have battled respiratory illnesses.
My nan passed away after a tough fight with lung cancer, and my other nan lost her life to COPD. It’s been heartbreaking to watch the toll these conditions can take, and it’s something that has stayed with me ever since. My dad has also been diagnosed with COPD, and my mum lives with asthma—so respiratory health is a cause that’s close to my heart.
Two years ago, I was diagnosed with asthma myself. At first, it felt like a setback, but I decided to take control of my health. Since then, I’ve lost 4 stone in weight to help manage the condition, and it’s been one of the hardest, yet most rewarding journeys of my life.
This marathon is not just about running. It’s about raising awareness, honoring the memory of those I’ve lost, and continuing to fight for better respiratory health for everyone. Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
