I’m running the London Marathon 2026 to fight for lung health!
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £24 can support a researcher at the start of their career to carry out an hour of lung health research to ensure we attract and keep the best scientific minds to focus on lung disease.

Wednesday 23rd Jul🏃 Running the London Marathon for Lung + Asthma UK 🫁
In memory of Nan Helen & Grandad Michael — and for Grandad Arvon, who’s still fighting
I’m incredibly proud (and a little nervous!) to say I’ll be running the 2026 London Marathon in support of Lung + Asthma UK.
This run means far more to me than just 26.2 miles. I’m doing this in memory of my nan Helen, who we lost 10 years ago to lung cancer, and Becka’s grandad Michael, who sadly passed away last year after battling COPD. I’m also running for my grandad Arvon, who is still courageously living with COPD today.
Breathing is something so many of us take for granted — but for millions, every breath is a struggle. I’ve seen first-hand how lung disease impacts people and families. That’s why I’m passionate about raising both awareness and support for the vital work Lung + Asthma UK do every day.
Their mission is to help people breathe better, provide life-changing support, fund research, and campaign for cleaner air and better care. They’ve helped so many people already, and with your help, they can do even more.
My fundraising target is £2,500 — and every donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference.
Whether it’s £5 or £50, it’s not just helping me reach a goal — it’s helping someone breathe easier, live longer, and feel less alone.
I’ll be training hard over the next 8 months — balancing marathon miles with resistance training, aching legs, and early mornings. But I’ll be thinking of my loved ones every step of the way, and I’ll be running with heart, for a cause that truly matters.
If you can support, thank you. If you can share this, thank you. And if you just want to cheer me on along the way — thank you so much.
Let’s do this 💙
