Ahh - I’m running a MARATHON🏃♀️
This run is deeply personal for me. I’m doing it for someone incredibly close to my heart, someone who has been through more than most, and who I’ve watched fight through the frightening reality of a pneumothorax.
Seeing the effects firsthand changed me. The fear, the pain, the helplessness - it’s something I’ll never forget. And while I couldn’t take away the struggle, I can use this as a way to honor his strength. Every mile I run is for him. For all of his courage. For the quiet moments (which is rare for him!) he kept going when it would have been easier to give up.
This half marathon isn’t just about fitness or ticking off a goal - it’s about turning something painful into purpose. It’s about raising awareness, holding space for others going through similar battles, and showing that love and support can stretch far beyond words.
To anyone facing a health struggle, visible or invisible - this one’s for you, too. 💙
