I’m running Manchester Marathon in the fight for breath!
I’m running to raise money for Asthma + Lung UK in support of my mum, who lives with COPD/emphysema.
Watching someone you love live with a lung disease is incredibly hard. It can be a very debilitating condition, affecting everyday life in ways many people don’t see — from struggling to breathe, to exhaustion, to the emotional toll it takes.
For my mum, getting a diagnosis took a long time, and like many lung conditions, the causes can be complex. That’s why charities like Asthma + Lung UK are so important — funding research, raising awareness, and supporting people and families living with these illnesses every day.
I’m taking on this run for my mum, and for everyone affected by lung disease. Any donation, big or small, would mean so much.
Thank you for your support.
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with lung disease. I want to make a difference. I'm running the Manchester Marathon for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £33 could go towards an hour of an Asthma + Lung UK Respiratory Nurse Specialist on their helpline. A+LUK nurses give expert advice on understanding a new diagnosis, medication and treatment options and living well with a lung condition.
Any support would be amazing!
