London Marathon 2026

I’m running the London Marathon 2026 to fight for lung health!

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!

Here I come

Friday 24th Apr

In 48 hours, I will be standing at the London Marathon start line in Greenwich. As someone with a PhD, I’m used to tackling difficult challenges, but for the early part of my life, my own breathing was the biggest obstacle I faced. Having managed asthma since childhood, I know how much it can limit your potential. This Sunday, I am running to prove that asthma is not a barrier to achieving your goals, as I chase a PB time at the finish line.

I’m raising funds for Asthma + Lung UK to support the research and healthcare professionals that provide a lifeline for patients. While my condition is much more manageable now, many others are still waiting for the breakthroughs they need to breathe freely. Your support helps fund the development of new treatments and ensures that the one in five people in the UK with a lung condition gets the help they deserve.

Every donation helps. See you on the other side (with sore legs and hopefully still breathing)!

Arc 25: Done! Next Stop, London.

Thursday 5th Feb

Last Sunday, I finished the UTMB Arc of Attrition 25 - 42km of rugged Cornish cliffs from St Ives to Porthtowan, featuring over 1,200m of climbing.

It was the definition of "Type II fun"—which is basically code for "a lot of mud, sweat, and tears at the time, but feels amazing now that it's over."

The Arc was my "trial by fire" to prep for the London Marathon. I'm chasing a sub-3:30 goal in April, and every muddy step on those cliffs was a deposit into the stamina bank for Mile 22 on the road.

I’m running to raise money for Asthma + Lung UK. If you’ve got a few spare pounds to support a great cause please consider donating!
