Manchester Marathon 2027

Bad lungs. Big run. Good cause. 🫁🏃‍♂️

I’ve made a truly terrible decision… I’ve signed up for the Manchester Marathon 🏃‍♂️

Yes, 26.2 miles. Yes, I have asthma. No, I haven’t suddenly become a runner overnight—this is as surprising to me as it is to you.

I’m doing it for Asthma + Lung UK, because living with asthma means my lungs already like to add a bit of drama to everyday life. So naturally, I thought the best idea would be to push them to their absolute limits for several hours straight.

Training is going to involve a lot of wheezing, questionable life choices, and me wondering why I didn’t just pick something easier… like literally anything else.

But in all seriousness, it’s a cause that means a lot to me, and I’d love to raise as much as possible to support people dealing with lung conditions every day.

If you’d like to donate and help motivate me to actually make it to the finish line (and not get overtaken by a man in a banana costume), I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks for supporting me—and my very confused lungs ❤️

Planning has begun

Sunday 3rd May
Right. The training is still in its planning stage but we made a start:

✅ Water vest purchased
✅ An easy training plan for the next 3-4 month is roughly outlined
✅ Gait analysis scheduled for a shiny pair of new shoes
✅ The science of running is being researched. Who  knew there is more to running than just putting one foot in front of the other.
