London Landmark Half Marathon
Tuesday 20th MayHello everyone,
In 2026, I’ll be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon in memory of my incredible dad, John (Rob) Kirkwood. I’m proud to be running in support of Lung & Asthma UK, a cause that means so much to me.
My dad battled with COPD and emphysema—both chronic, incurable lung conditions that deeply impacted his breathing and overall health. Despite these challenges, he remained the most vibrant, active, and proud father my sisters and I could have wished for. His strength and spirit continue to inspire me every day.
Since his passing, there's been a huge void in my life. By running this half marathon, I hope to raise awareness about the prevalence of lung conditions in the UK and help fund vital research into new treatments, therapies, and medications. My goal is to contribute to a future where those living with these illnesses have better options and more time with the people they love.
