London Marathon 2026

I’m running the London Marathon 2026 to fight for lung health!

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!

Last Big Run - 4 week countdown

Tuesday 31st Mar
Thank you so much for donating to this great cause and supporting me on this journey. I think about you kind people on every single run.

The last few months haven't been easy. The cold, rainy runs, often alone. Each weekend going a few kms further than the last, but the end is in sight. On sunday just gone,, I ran my furthest ever distance, 35.5 kms :o (that feels strange even saying it now). 4 hours of plodding around the same roads, up the same hills of beautiful Bracknell and surrounding areas. It's an unforgiving terrain to train for a marathon, every direction leads to long, steep hills. But now I am PREPARED for the flat streets of London, it'll be like running downhill for me (that's what I'm telling myself at least).

If anyone is interested to know how i've been training... i've been doing a long run on the weekends, a 6-12km recovery slow run early in the week, a faster/ interval run on weds/ thurs and sometimes add a 4th run in if possible.

One final weekend of 30+kms coming up, then the taper and final preparations begin.

Thanks again to everyone for your support.

Training Has Begun – London Marathon 2026

Wednesday 24th Sep

Training is officially underway for the London Marathon and I’m pleased to say it’s going really well. I’ve just hit a new personal best distance of 22 kilometres, the furthest I’ve ever run, which feels like a huge milestone for me.

For someone who’s lived with asthma all my life, running has sometimes been a challenge, but it’s also something that’s given me focus, strength and a real sense of achievement. With the right treatment I’ve been able to push myself further than I ever thought possible, and this marathon is by far my biggest challenge yet.

The weather is turning now that autumn has arrived and each run is definitely becoming a little tougher, but I’m thoroughly enjoying the process. Every step is a reminder of why I’m running, to raise money for Asthma + Lung UK, an incredible charity that makes such a difference for people like me.

A huge thank you to everyone who has already sponsored and supported me so far, it really means the world. We’ll also be running some special Drippy Grippy sales to help raise extra funds, so keep an eye out for those.

This is just the beginning and I’ll be sharing updates along the way. Please follow the journey and, if you can, help us support this brilliant cause by donating through my page.

Let’s do this!
