Why I’m running
Tuesday 15th Jul Hiya, I’m Issy and I’m running the LLHM 2026 for Asthma & Lung UK.As many of you know I have had Asthma for as longggg as I can remember. While it hasn’t affected me hugely in my daily life there are lots of people where it does.
Asthma is one of the leading causes of hospital admissions and bed days with 5.4 million people currently receiving treatment, costing the health services 1.1 Billion a year!!
Secondly Lung Cancer is the biggest cancer killer in the UK. It kills more than breast, prostate and colorectal combined. It doesn't just affect smokers it can be anyone; young, non smoking and otherwise healthy.
Please help me to raise as much money as I can. This is my first running challange and I would love for it to be more than just me seeing if I can run for 21kmvery. Every penny spent on trying to cure these lung conditions, the less strain there is on our NHS, and loved ones can stay by our side, in our arms a lot longer.
