Mari vs Cardiff Half
I’m taking on the Cardiff Half Marathon 2026 in support of Asthma and Lung UK, a cause that is deeply personal to me.
For those who didn’t know, this year marks 20 years since my dad passed away from an asthma attack whilst in Costa Rica. Losing him so suddenly changed our life forever.
Asthma is often seen as a manageable condition, but for our family, it proved how serious and devastating it can be. No family should have to experience the heartbreak of losing someone to a condition that needs better awareness, research, and support.
I’m running not only in memory of dad, but to help raise vital funds that support life-saving research, improve treatment, and provide help to the millions of people across the UK living with asthma and lung conditions. Every mile I run is for him — and for everyone affected by respiratory disease.
