I’m running the Edinburgh Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK!
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with lung disease. I want to make a difference. I'm running for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!
Why Asthma + Lung UK?
Ultimately, I’ve had doing a marathon as a bucket list item for a while now & this is the year I’ve decided to sign up and do it. Whilst at it though I thought why not raise some money for charity too.
As someone who spent much of their childhood in and out of hospital with asthma, Asthma + Lung UK felt like the natural choice.
In addition, this choice of charity is also in honour of a close family friend who fought the same fight of childhood asthma, just before I had to go through it myself. However, they weren't as lucky as me to make it through to the other side, losing the battle at 7 years of age.
