I’m running The Great North Run in the fight for breath!
I’m running the Great North Run to raise money for a cause that is incredibly close to my heart.
I live with eosinophilic asthma, and there was a time when my condition had such a huge impact on my life that I was constantly in hospital. I struggled to do the things other people took for granted, and it felt like my life was being put on hold because of my health.
Being started on biological treatment changed my life. It gave me the chance to get my asthma under control and, most importantly, to start living my life again.
Now, I’m challenging myself to run the Great North Run, something I never would have imagined being able to do during those difficult years. I want to turn something that once limited my life into something that celebrates how far I’ve come.
I’m incredibly grateful for the treatment that gave me my freedom back, and I’d love to raise money to help support others living with asthma and fund research into better treatments.
