I’m running Cardiff Half Marathon in the fight for breath!
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with lung disease. I want to make a difference. I'm running Cardiff Half Marathon 2026 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £22 could go towards Health Care Advisors and Respiratory Specialists supporting someone with the information they need to live well.
Any support would be amazing in my fight for lung health!
My Updates
My reason for running Cardiff Half 2026 for Asthma and Lung UK
Monday 11th MayCardiff Half was my first ever half marathon which I ran in 2023. Prior to this, I had never considered as an asthmatic runner, who typically only ran park runs consistently (and not particularly well at times) that I would ever be able to complete much more than this. Then, somehow a friend, convinced me it was possible!
I completed this half marathon in a time of 2:54:26. I had hoped for a quicker time, but a chest infection earlier in the year hindered this, but I was still incredibly proud.
Cardiff Half Marathon holds a special place, as it was the first time, I really realised I could complete something on this scale.
Over the last few years, I’ve had a bad case of covid, long covid, chest infections, anxiety induced asthma and breathing difficulties, it’s been a long road to this moment in time. However, it is slowly coming back into a place, where running doesn’t feel as hard as it has done, and I am excited to take on this location again, and all for asthma UK, who without their research, I wouldn’t be able to live the life I live!
If you are able to donate, then I would like to say a huge thank you! And if you want to join me for a training run, don’t hesitate to reach out
