I’m running The Great North Run in the fight for breath!

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with lung disease. I want to make a difference. I'm running The Great North Run for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £22 could go towards Health Care Advisors and Respiratory Specialists supporting someone with the information they need to live well.

Wooo hooo … Soooo - Blog time! … Yes, it’s technically part of my London Marathon training, but also because I couldn’t resist supporting Asthma + Lung UK  and clocking up more miles in memory of my lovely dad ♥️ I’m doing the Great North Run … Also my sister has lived with asthma since she was small so this seemed like a great charity to support in addition to the FCN and amazing work they do. 

We lost our dad to a very short and brutal battle with lung cancer in 2013. It’s the hardest thing he and my family ever had to deal with … so hopefully any money I raise will help others in a similar situation to my dad so they don’t have to feel like he did 🤷‍♀️ … I figured, if I’m going to be running absurd distances anyway, I might as well make the miles matter... Again. 🤷‍♀️😂😅

That means: Alongside the brilliant FCN , I’ll also be raising money for Asthma + Lung UK  because lungs are kind of important too. 🫶 2 sleeps to go!!!! Wish me luck! 🍀
