Help me empower people living with asthma!
I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to support asthma education. Both my dad and brother have asthma, and with our family spread across different countries (and continents), having clear, reliable health information (especially in a language they can understand) is really important
Organizations like Asthma + Lung UK have been a true lifeline, offering free, expert advice that’s helped my family manage their asthma. Last year alone, their website provided critical health information to 15 million people, and I’ve seen firsthand just how valuable that support can be. Working in healthcare marketing, I understand the impact of trusted organizations like Asthma + Lung UK, not only for educational resources but also for connecting people through support groups and easing the loneliness that often comes with chronic conditions.
This run is also deeply personal. My dad taught me to run when I was a kid, dragging me out of bed for early morning jogs. I complained constantly and even pointed out, probably too many times, that none of my friends’ parents made their kids wake up at 5 a.m. to run. But looking back, his perseverance has become my inspiration. He manages his asthma through running and swimming, showing me how staying active can help him breathe easier.
As seen on the screenshots below, my brother’s words echo in my mind when he said: “Prolonged asthma is the worst.” All he wants is to “be able to WALK outside and walk to work.” I’m running for him, for my dad, and for everyone who can’t run because asthma holds them back. Every step I take is a tribute to those who struggle to catch their breath and a push to make sure they have the support and resources they need to live healthier, fuller lives.
