I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to fight for lung health!
On Sunday 27th April 2025 I will be running the London marathon for the Asthma and Lung charity in loving memory of my wonderful grandad who sadly passed in October 2023. As someone who only half heartedly started my running journey in April 2024 this has been a huge challenge, however one I hope to overcome for an amazing cause. My grandad was my best friend & my whole entire world, moon and stars so to run this in his memory is an absolute honour.
I have chosen this charity as my grandad suffered with severe COPD which is a chronic illness that affects the lungs. I have witnessed first hand the devastating effects it has on someone’s health and quality of life. Whilst there is treatment that can help slow the progression of the condition and control the symptoms there is still no cure for COPD. I would like to raise as much awareness of COPD as possible and raise money to ensure the continuation of support Asthma and Lung UK offer to those suffering across the UK.
