I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to fight for lung health!

As someone with chronic Asthma. I never ever thought I'd be able to run a 5k, let alone a marathon. But, I joined my friend for some of her Marathon training for 2024, and started to love it. My Asthma has been a massive barrier on my running journey. I was put on steroids in the winter because it got so bad. I never thought I'd be able to run a long distance, because I thought my chest wouldn't let me. I was constantly having to stop to take my inhaler. This was happening in the gym too. But I have had a new preventer, a blast of steroids and some different treatment options for my Asthma and it has changed my life. It had honestly got to the point where I couldn't go to the gym or even go for a day out, without carrying my blue inhaler, because I'd definitely need to take it multiple times a day! I no longer have to worry if I don't constantly have my blue on me. I want to run the marathon to prove to myself that I can do it but also to help other people do the things they want to do. 

I will share my running and training journey along the way. So be prepared for whinging. I have a couple of half marathons booked leading up to this, and I need to raise a minimum of £2k. Which I hope I can manage! My cat also has Asthma and that's just wrong on every level isn't it😅🥰


Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2025 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!
