I'm Running The 2025 London Marathon!
Hi everyone,
I'm thrilled to share that I will be running the 2025 London Marathon in support of Asthma + Lung UK. The marathon will be on Sunday, April 27th, 2025.
In 2020, after contracting COVID-19, I was diagnosed with moderate to severe asthma. It was determined that I had likely had asthma since childhood. At the time, my lung functionality was so poor that I couldn't even complete a breathing test successfully!
So when I had the wild idea in 2023 to run a half marathon, I was unbelievably nervous and felt like I wasn't "fast enough" to be considered a runner. Through months of training, some mild injuries, and learning how to handle the fatigue, I was able to finish my first half marathon. I quickly signed up for another one the following year, but this time with friends both in training and on Strava!
I actually completely forgot I had applied for London 2025, so you can imagine my surprise when I received an email officially inviting me to run for Team Breathe in the London Marathon! I was so shocked to be accepted into one of the hardest marathons to get into in the world, but now I get to run it in support of a great cause that I'm extremely passionate about. I am so excited to bring you along with me on this journey!
Asthma + Lung UK provides vital resources to those affected by lung conditions and tirelessly work towards breakthroughs in treatment and care. Your support can make a real difference in the lives of those struggling with asthma and other respiratory issues.
