I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to fight for lung health!
My father (Steve White) passed away on 17th August 2024 after a long and difficult fight with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, a degenerative Lung Disease that scars the lungs and gradually reduces lung function. There is no cure. I am running to raise money for Asthma and Lung UK to help reseach into Lung diseases, and hopefully the lessening of others having to go through what my Dad did.

Monday 14th Apr Final log runs done and now tapering down to the big day. Trying to get myself organised to get up and back from London. Fortunately able to stay with my daughter in Camden. Share
Training runs getting longer
Monday 31st Mar Now under 4 weeks to go and the weekend boght a 26km (16 mile) training run up and around Romsey. Details below
One month to go
Wednesday 26th Mar Have been training hard despite not posting and now have big 3 weekends until the race. 2.5 hours this Saturday (@25k) then ramping up until the race. Have booked my accomodation for the night before the big day. The sofa of my daughter Catherine's flat in Camden! Share
Training week 3
Monday 7th Oct 67km down. No long run this week due to rugby on Saturday but starting to get faster and more comfortable at 10km. Looking for one longer distance run next week. Share
