I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to fight for lung health!
I will be running the TCS London Marathon 2025 for Asthma + Lung in support of both my Nan and Grandad.
Asthma + Lung are an amazing charity that have a vision to help the world have healthy lungs. This is achieved by preventing lung disease where possible, diagnosing lung disease earlier and more accurately, and driving life-changing research and innovation.
Back in 2017 both my Nan and Grandad were diagnosed with Lung Cancer. Amazingly, both have battled and now beaten it, but unfortunately are living with COPD which has a huge impact on their breathing and day-to-day movement.
Sadly, during March 2024 my Grandad found out that the Cancer had returned, and though it’s been tough his strength and resilience continue to inspire me.
I am running this marathon not just for them, but for the millions affected by lung conditions around the world. Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice.
