Hi, I’m Lucy, and I’m thrilled to be running the 2025 London Marathon for Asthma + Lung UK!
This race means the world to me. 🏃♀️💙 I’m 33 and have lived with asthma all my life. I was told I’d grow out of it - but instead, it’s only become harder to manage. I’ve been hospitalized multiple times and even turned blue from a severe attack during university 🏥
Despite this, I refused to let asthma define me. Over the past three years, I’ve completed my first 10K, Half Marathon, and three full marathons. 🏅 Running once felt impossible, but I’ve proven otherwise - with thousands of kilometers behind me. ✨
A turning point came 12 months ago when a new asthma nurse helped me find a treatment plan that finally worked. 🙌 With Spiriva Respimat, Fostair, and Montelukast, I’ve gained control over my condition and a new lease on life. Now, I’m chasing my biggest goal yet: the London Marathon. 🏃♀️🇬🇧
I’m proud to run for Asthma + Lung UK 💜 - the only UK charity fighting for everyone’s right to breathe. Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. Just £22 can help one of their nurses answer a potentially lifesaving call. 📞
