I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to fight for lung health!
I am thrilled to share that I will be running the London Marathon in support of Asthma & Lung UK, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by lung conditions. I am reaching out to ask for your support in sponsoring my run, as every pound raised will go toward life-changing research, support, and advocacy for people living with asthma and other lung diseases.
This cause is deeply personal to me. My partner Lyne, lived with uncontrolled asthma for years. During the pandemic, her condition worsened, and she was eventually diagnosed with a rare and severe form of asthma called *Eosinophilic asthma*. This condition left her struggling to breathe, reliant on frequent hospital visits, and unable to live life to the fullest. It was a challenging and frightening time for both of us.
Thankfully, everything changed when she began treatment with *Benralizumab*, a groundbreaking medication made possible by advancements in medical research. This treatment has been nothing short of transformative. For the first time in years, she can breathe freely, enjoy daily activities, rebuild her fitness and look forward to a future without constant fear of her next asthma attack. It’s a testament to the power of research and innovation in improving lives.
By running the London Marathon, I want to give back to Asthma & Lung UK, an organisation that funds critical research like the treatments that have changed my partner’s life. They also provide vital support to millions of people living with lung conditions, ensuring they have access to the information and care they need.
I am aiming to raise £2,000 to support their mission, and I would be incredibly grateful for your sponsorship. Your contribution will directly fund research into better treatments, campaigns for improved healthcare, and support services for those affected by lung conditions.

Lyne and I have been truly humbled by the outpouring of support for my London Marathon run for **Asthma & Lung UK**. When Lyne was struggling to breathe during her severe asthma battles, we couldn’t have imagined how much hope treatments like hers could bring—or how powerfully our community would rally to help others facing similar fights. **Because of you, we’ve raised over £2,200** to fund research that turns gasps into breaths and fear into hope.
My training has been challenging but deeply meaningful, made easier by:
- Those who joined me on training runs, sharing in both the miles and the purpose behind them
- The experienced runners who offered invaluable guidance
- Those who patiently listened as I complained about various body parts feeling like they were on the verge of collapse 🤣
