I’m running the London Landmarks 2027 to fight for lung health!
In 2027, I'll be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for Asthma & Lung UK.
I've recently got into running, and after looking for a challenge to work towards, the London Landmarks Half Marathon seemed like the perfect goal. At the moment, the furthest I've ever run is 5K, so 13.1 miles feels like a pretty big step up!
I wanted to take on a challenge that meant something, and raising money for Asthma & Lung UK felt particularly meaningful to me. My nan, Phyllis, lived with COPD for many years before she passed away, so supporting a charity that helps people affected by lung conditions is something I'm proud to do in her memory.
The next few months will be spent gradually increasing my distance, trying to improve my pace (I'm very slow at the moment!), and probably complaining about every aspect of training along the way. But that's all part of the challenge, and it'll be worth it when I cross the finish line.
My fundraising target is £400, and I'd be incredibly grateful for any support. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help Asthma & Lung UK continue their important work supporting people living with lung conditions and funding vital research.
Thank you for supporting me and this fantastic cause. Your generosity will help keep me motivated through the training miles and all the inevitable complaints along the way! Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference.
I'm running the London Landmarks 2027 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £24 can support a researcher at the start of their career to carry out an hour of lung health research to ensure we attract and keep the best scientific minds to focus on lung disease.
