I’m running The Great North Run in the fight for breath!
The everyday things that we take for granted are the moments that other people struggle.
This includes my son, who will be 2 when I run the GNR, we’ve fought for almost a year trying to get answers for his breathing difficulties and even though we thought we were having a hard time trying to manage it, he was fighting with everything just to breath. He’s not just my inspiration, he’s my hero and In those moments of weakness, he’s body shown nothing but strength.
Asthma and Lung fighters can’t do life like we can, they can’t go out without having to remember to take their inhaler, they can’t do normal activities that we can without thinking of the precautions that this will have on their body.
I’m wanting to raise money for this charity so that they can carry on supporting the family’s who have lost a loved one or continue to care for those who suffer with Asthma or any Lung related issues.
I’m running the GNR as a challenge to myself that even know I will struggle and I will run out of breath, this is a choice that I am choosing to make, that Asthma and Lung Disease/related patients don’t have the choice in making.
