Active April (8 million steps)

In the UK 8 million people are living with Asthma or COPD. 

As a team of healthcare professionals working in general practice, we support patients with asthma and COPD every day, and we see
first-hand the impact that lung conditions have on individuals, families, and
the wider healthcare system. In our daily practice, we regularly rely on the
high-quality, practical resources provided by Asthma + Lung UK to support
patient understanding, self-management, and long-term outcomes.

Therefore, we want to give back through our “Active April”
campaign where we will aim to achieve 8 million steps … One step for every
person in the UK living with a asthma or COPD.

Our team will lead the challenge and participate while also
inviting patients, practices, and the wider community to help us reach 8
million steps. We hope this initiative will raise both funds and awareness,
while promoting movement, prevention, and respiratory wellbeing within our
workforce and the communities we serve.
