Remembering Archie, Supporting Asthma + Lung UK

Remembering Archie, Supporting Asthma + Lung UK

We recently lost our wonderful step dad, Archie, to a lung condition.

Archie was a larger-than-life, loud and proud Scotsman. In fact, if you could have cracked him open, I'm sure he'd have had "Scotland" running right through him like a stick of Blackpool rock! He was full of character, stories and laughter, and anyone who met him was unlikely to forget him.

Archie lived with chronic asthma from childhood and later developed COPD, but he never allowed his condition to define him or stop him living life to the fullest. From playing professional football for Partick Thistle and having a trial with Aston Villa, to playing professional golf at Cowglen, he packed more into his life than most people could ever dream of.

Asthma + Lung UK was a charity close to Archie's heart, providing vital support, care and research for people living with lung conditions.

To honour Archie's memory, our family will be walking 5 miles through Whitley Bay and along the North East coastline to raise money for this incredible cause. Any donation, no matter how small, will help support the charity's important work and would mean so much to us.

Thank you for your support.

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. Every pound I raise takes us closer to a world where everyone breathes clean air with healthy lungs.

Just £24 could support a researcher at the start of their career to carry out an hour of lung health research to ensure we attract and keep the best scientific minds to focus on lung disease.

Any donations you can give are hugely appreciated thank you for supporting me and everyone out there living with a lung condition.
