I’m running The Great North Run in the fight for breath!
I’ve signed up for (another!) Great North Run but this one means a lot more 💛
The last time I ran it was in 2021, and since then I’ve been diagnosed with asthma.
Something I used to enjoy hasn’t felt as easy and running has become more and more of a challenge.
So this is my way of building my fitness back up and working through it, one mile at a time.
It’s also for my mam, who’s recently been diagnosed with a serious lung condition (chronic thromboembolic disease) and may need surgery.
So I’m running for Asthma + Lung UK - to support people going through this every day.
Every donation, big or small, really does make a difference.
Just £24 could support a researcher at the start of their career to carry out an hour of lung health research to ensure we attract and keep the best scientific minds to focus on lung disease.
